ROSTERS
There are a lot of considerations we have to take into account when we (1) create the complete roster and (2) make teams.
First off, we began this thing we now call Beer Olympics as a reason to get together, hang out, drink, eat, and just get away from everything. So each time we hold a new event, we try to keep the group as close-knit and fun as we can while making room for some new blood.
Making teams is something I don’t ever want to fully explain on this site. In our efforts to keep things as fair as possible, this year, we had each team captain pick their First Round player, and consequently let the First Round player pick the next teammate. But inevitably, some teams are obviously better than others – so we have to shuffle things around to keep competition fair.
For Beer Olympics 3, we’ve also increased our maximum capacity from 25 to 35 (36 if we have a sound engineer/cameraman for the weekend). We’re a little weary about accommodating such a large group, but we’ll figure everything out way in advance.
The following pages list our rosters for the last 2 years as well as the final roster and teams for Beer Olympics 3…
